We have recently had a lot of requests for a mortgage website design for VA Loans. So in true Vonk Digital fashion, we built one. This newest design caters to the mortgage broker that focuses on VA Loans, but also has conventional loan business.
How we designed a mortgage website design for VA Loans
I think we all know who the big players are in the VA loan business. When we decided to create a VA Loan specific mortgage website, we took a look at some of the large VA specific companies to see what they were doing. I immediately noticed some things I really liked, and I saw some things I thought were pretty poor. I am not going to list all the things I like and do not like because at the end of the day my opinion does not really matter to them.
Our biggest takeaway from reviewing those websites was most of them are extremely cluttered. Some of the websites have so much content on each page it will make you dizzy. As a result, our design will be the opposite. It will be easy to navigate, simple to read, and have a nice flow. That’s it!
What we added to this site
1. VA Loan Specific content.
As we prepared to create a mortgage website design for VA Loans the first thing we had to do was create VA Loan program content. Therefore we added ten new pages of content to this mortgage website, all for VA Loans. Luckily we have a great writer here. As you can imagine I am not that great writer. If you have read any of my blog posts you will quickly learn that writing and grammar are not my strong suit. Thank you Katie, great job on getting the content produced!
2. Calls to action.
We added two call-to-action buttons on EACH of the VA Loan pages. Example Below.
3. A clear first impression.
The home page needed to have great images, an immediate message, and it needed to be very clean and simple.
What is next for this mortgage website design for VA Loans?
It is live and ready for use but I still have some more things I will be adding to it. There are a few more homepage adjustments to make and I am going to add a VA specific lead funnel. By January 24th 2020 it will be fully dialed in.
