With all of the places to market your mortgage business online these days it can get overwhelming. There are so many places to run ads and videos to try and get ahead of your competition. Many of these tactics may have quick results on new business, as long as you keep paying for the ads. One of the most beneficial places to have your business ranking is Google and Google Maps. No surprise there and structured data can improve your mortgage website ranking. Getting to the number 1 spot is not easy, it is a long-term play. It will not happen over night and it may cost quite a bit to get done it for you. It also takes a lot of darn work to stay there. There is nothing worse than one day ranking well on Google and then all of sudden you drop down the list. Seeing your competitors higher than you on Google should piss you off a little bit. Make sure you are tracking your rankings every week in order to avoid dropping to far.

Structured Data is probably something you have never heard of. However, structured data can improve your mortgage website ranking. Any “local business” should implement this on their website. Structured data tells Google things like the name of your business, type of business, physical location, opening hours. You can test your website on Googles structured data testing tool. Google will also help you develop the HTML code you need to add to your website but there is an easier way.
